Meet Our Founder Clare
After completing my Psychology degree, I worked in schools with young people who struggled with learning. I helped them to find the strategies to achieve and succeed when they had sometimes given up on themselves. I then decided to complete my PGCE where I won the award for most promising trainee teacher. I selected as my prize a book on how to work with students with dyslexia!
Following this was a twenty-year career in secondary schools where I quickly went through the ranks to become a senior assistant headteacher. My focus throughout my career has been to make a difference. My passion for learning and teaching and my mission to help everyone to learn better has led me to many opportunities. I’m an examiner for AQA, an advisor for EPQ in China, I’ve written articles for magazines and am working on a book. The best part of my job though is still working with young people and seeing those lightbulb moments when it clicks or getting the excited call or message to say what grade they have achieved.
I don’t think I’ll ever stop being passionate about learning. Even though I now live in the beautiful French countryside, the online technology means I can work with students from all over the world.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
